OUR HISTORY

Founded by Registered Veterinary Technician, Laurel Dutrisac in 2014, Touch Animal Rehabilitation is already one of the most respected animal physical therapy centres in the North. As an RVT, Laurel loved providing care to the pets of North Bay for over 10 years, but she always wanted to do more. Through rehabilitation and conditioning, Laurel found her passion. For years, rehabilitation and physical therapy was only something you heard of in humans, until it happened to your pet. As pet owners themselves, the Touch Team understands how costly and heart-breaking an injury or old age can take a toll on you and your pet. With affordable alternatives, your pet does not have to suffer in silence.

From Rehabilitation, to Grooming, to Obedience, TOUCH has multiple ways to help you and your pet. Their quiet, enriched environment allows every staff member to have a connection with every pet and owner that comes to visit.

What Our Clients are saying…

  • Wow what a great facility this is one of the best therapy facilities we have for our animals in the north. With some of the state-of-the-art equipment! Thanks

  • Touch Animal Rehabilitation is the reason Mia has recovered so well from her TPLO surgery. Mia went for Hydrotherapy before her surgery to maintain strength, than she was back in the water after her surgery. Mia has recovered completely. Our "old Ed' suffers from IVDD and if it wasnt for Laurel he may not have walked again. With Hydrotherapy, strengthening exercises and laser therapy, Ed walked again.

  • I have been fortunate enough to be able to utilize the services offered at Touch. I have seen firsthand the healing and strengthening benefits of the laser, underwater treadmill, & massage. I'm saddened to think of where Ben would without your healing hands. Thank you Laurel! We all adore you!

  • Very kind and great service. Easy to tell the whole staff truly cares about each animal that is brought in. Very accommodating and excellent at handling the animals. Facilities are great and well equipped. Highly recommend for both therapy or grooming.

  • Maiya looks great and we got a kick out of the bows in her ears. Sent the picture to my grandchildren. Rated five star and appreciated Brea’s approach and attitude with Maiya being a rescue and having high anxiety issues with anything new. Have a good day and thanks for today. My anxiety level has gone down now too!
