UPCOMING WORKSHOPs
YOUR DOG’S PAIN LANGUAGE
This workshop is designed to help you SEE changes in your dog's posture and movement, so you and your dog's circle of care can catch changes before they become harder to reverse.
We will take a deeper look into your dog's body and how they may be telling you things without you even knowing. Dogs are very good at hiding and compensating when they are experiencing discomfort.
In this workshop, we will help you to understand your dog's movements. We will help you understand how muscles and joints should feel when you touch and move them.
What you will learn in this workshop;
subtle ways your dogs may be showing you there is weakness and/or discomfort
how to feel the muscles of the back for signs of discomfort
how to feel the joints for signs of discomfort or resistance
how to massage and move muscles and joints to ease pain
We will help you feel the muscles and learn how the muscle's range of motion affects joint movement and mobility.
We will demonstrate how to perform passive exercises for joints and muscles and explain how these can ease pain and improve function.
Simple awareness can help YOU help YOUR dog.

CANINE Confidence
Our Canine Confidence class stemmed from the need to help dogs build their confidence, trust in their ability and strengthen the human-pet bond. This confidence-building will teach your dog how to tackle fears, and as a team, you and your pet can work together to accomplish this goal. It is by trusting each other that these goals can be accomplished.
By giving your dog an obstacle that is somewhat overwhelming and then also providing them with the tools and encouragement to complete these tasks, you will see your dog “sparkle” with their accomplishment.
Your bond will be forever strengthened as you work together and they trust in you and themselves.
This workshop is for young puppies to develop skills, for newcomers to specialized canine exercise equipment, and for seniors to challenge their strength and balance. Everything can be arranged to accommodate all ages and abilities.
This is a freestyle class. I will have stations set up with equipment; you and your dog will explore the exercises recommended for each station for several minutes, then move on to the next station.

Massage and Passive Joint Movement
This seminar is designed to teach about muscle structure and muscle health. It follows nicely behind the seminar on “Your Dog’s Pain Language”.
As a dog owner, it is important for you to understand how muscle tension and pain can affect joint movement and overall mobility.
Learning how to evaluate muscle and address your dog's flexibility needs is an important part of injury prevention, reducing mobility-related pain and ensuring healthy, strong muscles for the aging dog.
We will discuss muscle anatomy, the different areas of palpation in understanding how muscles should feel, and how aging affects muscle loss.
